Carrot Cake & the Country Side

It couldn't have gotten better than this... Freshly baked carrot cake (with walnuts & the works) from the home basement in the country side!

Cake scent goodness was quite hypnotic as my aunt baked while the rest of us had breakfast. Nothing like eating in an open home with nature as its wall!

That's one of the many reasons why I'd want to raise
my future children in the city and partly everywhere else. So they'd get to experience how it's like to know diverse people and places...

No air-conditioning machine, and no need for it -this side of The Philippines is so breezy, especially compared to where I grew up.

I was taking photos like a tourist since I'm not able to go to this side often... then I got everyone's attention after spotting a carabao. My excitement slightly dropped after they responded that they see those kind everyday. It didn't just pop out of nowhere that's for sure! Then I got interested about its family. Haha!

Well, what's norm for one isn't necessarily norm for all... regardless of the fact that we're in one country!

Someday, I'd love to live in a low-maintenance farm / farm-like home. And maybe go canoeing while reading my Bible / something great to start the morning with.
