My first Christmas in Dubai turned out to be so outrageously awesome (although I missed my parents & siblings so much)! Thank you, Jesus!!! What a wonderful season to all the more realize & revel on what You've done…
It was the most hilarious time -& I mean hilarious, beyond fun! I thought I’d be too tired by the time I got to the Asuncion’s villa. But as soon as I entered the door, it felt like confetti of joyfulness was floating everywhere! Tired…? I totally forgot about that! Haha, celebrating with them reminded me of how God is pleased in surprising us off our seats, [above our expectations] as we just trust in Him... how amazing Christmas is, and especially meaningful!
Great seeing one of my top favorite uncles...
(Prior to that, I was at my uncle’s place where they had all the Filipino food I’ve long craved for. And my aunt baked these banana muffins with walnuts that I “foie gras-ed” myself with, if you get what I mean. Also, was really appreciative of my caring cousins who drove me around…)
Blueberry Cake; Mancao-Parilla Fam; Roasted Potatoes; Tim Hortons & Krispy Kreme Doughnuts; Hannah & her surprise cool laptop
The celebrations didn’t stop there. There was so much more that happened, and I was able to spend good quality time with some friends. I’ll probably share more on that through another post.
Being in a country that doesn't really highlight Christmas as it is... doesn't change its truth even a bit. And I'm glad to have the freedom to still be all festive anyway, as it's a season truly worth celebrating! <3
